Lawyer Xiao Yang from Shanghai Founder Law Firm gave the “Biweekly Case” lecture about intellectual property right

On 2^nd September 2013, Lawyer Xiao Yang from our law firm gave a lecture about intellectual property right in the 101 of the Zhenru town Government; the lecture was about the use of the Merchandise Marks Act and many government functionaries attended the lecture.

In the modern world, with the highly development in the knowledge of economic and global economic, the intellectual property right is becoming an essential element of international competitiveness and the strategic resources of the developing country. It is also becoming the key in the contribution of innovation-oriented country. The international community pays more attention to intellectual property and the encouragement of making innovation. At the same time, the management of merchandise marks in our country’s legal system is basically regular and the law enforcement level is improving. Our country supports the enterprises implementing the trademark strategy and using their own trademarks in the economic activity. Encourage enterprises carry out the international trademark registration, safeguard trademark rights and interests and participate in international competition.

Lawyer Yang introduced the Merchandise Marks Act from the history and conception of trademark; the subject, obligation and right of the trademark right; and the registration process in applying the trademarks. Lawyer Yang explained the Merchandise Mark Act through the analysis and comparison about the HOSIST case, Quanjude case and the Beijing Chaoshengchen case. Lawyer Yang also gave the material printed to the audience, so that they can take notes while listening to the lecture. The audiences all speak highly of the lecture.
