China and Uruguay established diplomatic relation in 1988. The bilateral relation has developed steadily. Continuous high-level communication and more economic and trade cooperation make better understanding between the two countries. China and Uruguay support each other in many international organizations and international conferences.

Currently, chairman of our office, vice president of the Road Traffic Safety Association, deputy head of Jinshan District etc. were invited to visit Uruguay pavilion, having a taste of its unique artistic temperament together. After seeing Uruguayan building a modern, efficient, clean, green and friendly city, relentless pursuing to achieve economic and human development, we had a new understanding of Uruguay. At the time of dinner together, in a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere, chairman Wang and Consul General of Uruguay had deep discussions in a friendly manner on the cooperation in the future. Although there were cultural differences between the two countries, and not the same of legal system, for Uruguay's legal system is based on the Spanish Civil Code, we believe that our cooperation in legal aspect will bridge over difficulties smoothly, and face challenges together.
